Description:
Determines the manner of death in cases of violence, casualty, or unexplained circumstances. The Coroner works with the police agency having jurisdiction in the area and may employ a qualified physician to conduct an autopsy as necessary. Coroner's reports are filed with a local health officer and the Clerk of the Circuit Court.
